The mighty Mississippi River...which is the backdrop for this series of glimpses into the lives of people often torn asunder by the currents which shape their lives. The mighty Mississippi River, often referred to as the 'big muddy'...an apt description for some of what overtakes Tess, then Frankie, and then Bear. Then others too.
